Here’s the sculptor as a sculpture. But not a self-portrait. It was done by Malcolm Harlow, one of the foremost portrait sculptors in the US, who has done busts and statues of politicians, sports figures, entertainers and many others. I worked collaboratively with him on a commission many years ago, and we did a sculpture swap - he created and gave me this, in exchange for a small bronze (Cocoon).
Thanks for dropping by my web site.
Sculptures should really be seen in person, and often touched (unless it’s a Rodin in a museum) . . . but this will give you an idea of what I do. There’s also material about why I do it and how I do it. And information about contacting me if you should wish to.
The portfolio includes pictures of many pieces that are sold and some that are not for sale. But it will give you an idea of the range of my work, and where many of the public installations may be seen. In recent years, I have been focusing on large public sculptures, so have not been producing smaller pieces that might typically go into private collections or be exhibited in art galleries. However, should anyone be interested in acquiring a sculpture, any of the bronze pieces can be reproduced. Let’s chat if there’s interest.
I would be happy to have any comments by e-mail, or to hear from you by other means.
By the way, I should mention that I’ve produced a book about my sculpture. It’s a large format book, with some 200 photos, covering just about everything I’ve produced. The bad news is that it costs a lot to produce in small quantities, so the price ($100) is a bit steep - it just covers the cost of production. But if there’s any interest, please let me know.
